When office life was taken away from us over a year ago, some were fine with the change and others had a rough time adjusting. Despite the chaos around us, our homes were the one place where we could feel safe.

If the thought of returning to the office is causing you anxiety, here are 4 tips that will make the transition as smooth as possible.

Tidy Up Your Space

If you were away for long, your workspace might need some refreshing. Cleaning and organizing your desk, adding some new pictures and making it look welcoming and pleasant will impact positively your mental health and will probably reduce your stress level too.

Get Your Wardrobe Ready

How we look, often affects how we feel. Work clothes make us look and feel more professional. Give some of your old clothes to charities and buy a couple of new pieces. This will boost your confidence and will put you in the right mood.

Fix your Sleep Hours

Working from home has given us a greater flexibility when it comes to sleep. We can sleep late at night and wake up 15 minutes before work starts. This of course cannot happen when we work from the office, considering the time we need to get ready in the morning and drive there. Our sleep hours can be fixed, if we shift our sleep time 10 minutes earlier every night for a week or so.

Keep it Safe

Your co-workers might not realise they are stepping into your space. Let them know that you are still social distancing.
